Our Need-le Lot Less Pain Here Training Program focuses on the acute pain associated with routine care involving needles, minimizing trauma associated with these experiences and building upon knowledge and skills. This training program includes the following: 1) Initial site visit - observation of relevant service areas, needs assessment and goal setting. 2) Training Course - format follows learning modules with case examples and simulation experiences to gain knowledge and reinforce skills. Course content includes: Intro and Theory, Language and Preparation, Topicals and Devices, Alternative Focus, Adaptive Care Plans and Environment, Comfort Positioning, and Wrap Up. In a practical sense, all of these topic areas are woven together in our approaches to minimize stress for children and families in each visit. 3) Application of skills site visits - observation of staff, skill development, and integration with live training/feedback 4) Final site visit - program review Our training program can be tailored to fit your needs to provide specific content related to your particular service and end goal. This training program is offered to a maximum of 15 participants.
